This remarkable tea is littered with fine tips for a delicate yet full flavour.

This tea is robust enough to partner whole-grain toast and English marmalade, and yet is smooth tasting between meals. Tannins only creep in if the tea is left to stew, and even then, a squeeze of lemon will negate the tannins. I can summarise thus: a very full body without bite.

Yunnan Mao Feng is my absolute favorite tea of all time. How to describe it? Delicately fragrant, but with a strong taste. Be careful not to brew it with boiling hot water; 90 degrees celcius or so. And it deserves good filtered water, as well. The tea is also good on second infusion.
