The Malabar tea plantation is located on the slopes of Mount Papandayan, which is in West Java, Indonesia. The Dutch with their colonial influence introduced tea growing to Indonesia about four centuries ago. The tea in this area is plucked all year long due to the climate. Mild, slightly aromatic, bright tea, plucked in the best harvesting period (July/August). Flavour similar to Ceylon tea.
Due to its lack of sharp astringency this tea gives a sweet brew with light characteristics.
Please note: The Tea Centre ONLY ships to Australia.
