Bancha leaves tossed with pan-roasted rice (nutty flavour).

I love this tea - first tried in the studio of my pottery teacher who made us a pot in a beautiful limoge porcelain pot and poured us a (limoge too!) cup each while we critiqued the pots just out of the kiln. Drinking a pot of this tea is now a ceremony to reflect on good things - the gentle colour, the hint of nutty/straw, the sweet taste on the palate that doesn't become bitter, even when adding more hot water for a 2nd and 3rd pot.
Of course, drinking this tea from a Sandy Lockwood teapot would make it a 6 out of 5 star experience!

Very gentle, pleasant flavour - not 5/5 only because I felt it was a little bit TOO gentle. I highly recommend trying this tea with about half a teaspoon of matcha powder mixed in with the leaves before brewing. Then just add the water slowly and whisk it a little to make sure the matcha doesn't go lumpy. Deeelicious.
