Australian Daintree Tea is a 100% Australian owned, grown and processed product. The plantation was established in 1978, by the Nicholas family, who still own and operate the business today. Having been in the business for as long as they have means they really know what they’re doing! They continue to produce a consistent product for quality, and taste, year after year – which is not as easy as you may think!
The Daintree Tea Company is located on the Cubbagudta Plantation which is situated in the heart of the Daintree wilderness in Far North Queensland. It’s also a local tourist attraction, so if you’re ever travelling through the Daintree you should consider visiting.
Daintree Tea is cultivated without pesticides and is a 100% pure and unblended Australian black tea. The leaves produce a coppery yet, notably mild and earthy brew. It’s best to drink as is but can also take a small splash of milk.
Compared to other tea producing countries around the world Australia only produces a very small quantity of tea. So we love being able to support an Australian owned and operated company, like ourselves, and so pleased many of our Tea Centre customers get behind a locally grown product as well.
