Fruit infusion teas - a bountiful supply of goodness.
Summer is nearly here, but the weather has already well and truly warmed up!
With summer comes long and lazy days of doing as little as possible but keeping hydrated as much as possible. So what better way to quench a thirst when the temperature rises than with a vibrant, chilled fruit infusion.
Fruit infusions make gorgeously refreshing beverages for sipping and escaping steamy summer days or for entertaining on balmy nights. Not only are they yummy, but they make an excellent natural alternative to cordials and fruit juices so the whole family can enjoy several glasses without the guilt. Because they’re made from dried fruits, flowers, and herbs, these tasty infusions also offer a fruit basket of healthful properties.
The Tea Centre stocks five fantastic fruit infusions free from artificial flavours and colours and brimming with taste and goodness. These infusions include Berry Delicious, Cherry Delight, Just Peachy, Raspberry Zing, and Summer Fruits.
Hibiscus and rosehip are two of the base ingredients that are used in most of The Tea Centre’s fruit infusions, which add to the natural red brew and delicious tartness.
Rich in vitamin C and antioxidants, hibiscus is known to be an excellent source of support for the immune system, aid in iron absorption, assist in weight management, and offer anti-aging properties. Also high in vitamin C and antioxidants, rosehip is another great ingredient that can help in boosting the immune system and is also effective for skin health due to its high vitamin A content.
In addition to hibiscus and rosehip, the above infusions contain an assortment of fruits that, of course, also offer their fair share of benefits:
Apple: Containing vitamin C, beta-carotene, and folic acid among other nutrients, apple is superb for helping in clearing skin and giving it a healthy glow. (Found in all five infusions).
Beetroot: Known as being a great cleanser especially of the liver, intestines, kidney, gall bladder, and revered for its blood-purifying properties. Effective in stimulating the circulatory system and improving digestive health. (Found in Summer Fruits)
Berries: Helps stimulate main organs that deal with detoxification, boosting metabolism, and burning fat. Strawberries and raspberries are especially effective at stimulating blood circulation to aid in fat burning. (Found in Berry Delicious, Just Peachy, Raspberry Zing, and Summer Fruits).
Cherry: A superb detox fruit, cherries contain supernutrients and antioxidants that have been known to help fend off cancer and fight infection. (Found in Cherry Delight).
Citrus: Offers effective protection against infection while acting as a powerful liver cleanser and a kick-starter to the metabolism. (Found in Raspberry Zing).
Grapes: Extremely cleansing and fantastic in detoxifying the liver, kidneys, and digestive system. (Found in Cherry Delight).
