The Tea Centre’s range of tea-for-one sets

In the same way that a carpenter is lost without his tool belt, a tea drinker can’t enjoy the full experience of tea without the proper teaware on hand! When it comes to choosing the perfect tea-for-one set to suit your lifestyle, it’s important to consider the following pros and cons of each type of teaware material.

  • Ceramic: traditional feel and retains heat well. However, this material is more prone to chipping than others
  • Glass: aesthetically pleasing to watch tea leaves unfurling during the infusion process. However, glass does not retain heat as well as other materials
  • Earthenware: traditionally, there’s no washing up required as earthenware is said to retain the memories of the tea and tea drinker
  • Porcelain: beautiful pure white colour and a convenient material for teaware. Used to be very delicate but is now much more durable
  • Bone china: Developed in England by combining porcelain and bone ash. Considered more durable than regular porcelain

What comes in a tea-for-one set?

All of The Tea Centre’s tea-for-one sets come with an in-built infuser (perfect for brewing the ideal amount of loose leaves for the solo tea drinker). Stacked on top of one another, the teapot boasts a capacity of 400ml and the underlying teacup 220ml–250ml. Most sets also come with a matching saucer.

All part of the ceremony and joy of enjoying the finest tea possible.

Making a cup of tea is not as hard as it sounds, with our easy-to-use range of mugs available. Alternatively, be sure to check out our teacups for one and sets for two or four. So whether you need an afternoon moment for yourself or are looking to host a tea party with family and friends, you can find the right tea set for you at The Tea Centre.

To make the perfect cuppa next time you want to relax and unwind, we'd recommend brewing one teaspoon of loose leaf tea to every cup of tea. Most of your teapots will already have in-built infusers but you can also use our range of teacup strainers for a single cup of tea.
