The Tea Centre’s premium Goomtee Darjeeling tea is a single origin loose leaf heralding from the Goomtee tea estate in India. Spring rains give this first flush dewy notes of delicate black tea flavour plus a light amber appearance and floral aroma. As the ‘champagne of the black teas’, this Darjeeling tastes best on its own. Furthermore, we love reserving premium Darjeelings for special occasions!
Goomtee is a non-restricted garden that lies within India’s Darjeeling district. Moreover, Darjeeling is a delicate variety of black tea that comes from the common tea plant (Camellia Sinensis). This Darjeeling’s high tea grading (FTGFOP1) denotes regional speciality and traditional orthodox methods. Specifically, tea farmers harvest this Darjeeling by hand during the spring harvest (‘first flush’) that occurs from late February to mid-April. Want to learn more about different tea grades?
