PETTIGALLA CEYLON TEA
The Tea Centre harvests the popular and highly aromatic Pettigalla Ceylon tea from the Dimbula tea-growing region in Sri Lanka. This orange pekoe (OP) tea boasts whole loose leaves that carry a slightly nutty taste and malty character. An especially delicious mild breakfast tea that tastes perfect with a splash of milk.
This quintessential Ceylon brew encompasses one of the best Dimbula tea experiences. This is because the large leaves in this black tea blend are high-grown and reap the full benefits of Sri Lankan sunshine. In turn, the loose leaf is also thought to boast a hint of citrus flavour. With this tea, sippers are not only enjoying a tasty breakfast blend but the history of Sri Lanka. Specifically, the Pettigalla Tea Estate in the Balangoda district has produced some of the world’s finest Ceylon since 1880.
