STICKY CHAI — SPICED TEA WITH RAW HONEY
When you combine honey with spice, the result is a chai that truly sings! The Tea Centre is excited to bring to market a Sticky Chai made from raw Australian honey blended with black tea and Ayurvedic spices. Delicious in chai lattes and even better when brewed with milk as a stovetop chai.
This tenacious brew carries a sultry aroma thanks to the infusion of star anise, cardamom, and turmeric, and a rich undertone thanks to its black tea base. The honey also lends the blend a natural sweetness. Comprising loose leaves from China, India, and Sri Lanka, this chai is truly representative of its Indian subcontinent origins. In fact, cultures in the Indian subcontinent are said to have been brewing chai for the past 5000–9000 years!
Further balancing out the unfiltered syrup flavour of raw honey is the emulsion of peppy peppercorns, warming cloves, and the tiniest sprinkle of salt too.
