The Tea Centre source a number of 'Ethical' teas from India and Sri Lanka. In India our supplier is part of the 'Small Farmers Tea Project', which is a long term partnership between Peermade Development Society, Sahyadri Tea Consortium and Tea Promoters India. Together their goal is to bring its members economic growth and control and help them gain access to international markets and a fair price for their tea and securing them a sustainable livelihood. Our Sri Lankan supplier joined hands with one of the premier Sri Lankan tea Plantation companies – Kelani Valley Plantations and in 2003 launched the program, "A Home for Every Plantation Worker". In 2006 they were recognized as the first Ethical Tea Brand in the world and continue to be passionate about social and environmental sustainability in the production of their beautiful teas.
Their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy lies at the very heart of its operational core. With a vision of giving back to the community and its dependents. They have pursued and thus far excelled in making a lasting impact on the community through its CSR efforts.

From its inception in 2008 this CSR initiative enables the Company to oversee critical areas of sustainability.
