Even though flavoured teas aren’t a new concept they are becoming increasingly popular, especially as the health benefits are the same as those found in a traditional tea. Gone are the days of what some people consider to be ‘boring tea’ to something that is now ‘exciting and flavoursome’. To make a flavoured tea various ingredients are added, such as dried flowers, fruits, herbs and spices, natural essences or oils (where available) or sometimes artificial flavours can also be used to create the amazing flavour combinations in our extensive range of flavoured teas. All can be enjoyed as a hot beverage but also make a fabulous base for a lovely iced tea. Either way, flavoured teas can be consumed and enjoyed all year round and are definitely here to stay. With the benefit of being just as good for you as a standard tea some non-traditional tea drinkers, upon discovering the health benefits, have now added flavoured teas to their daily beverage consumption. So if you’re a novice to flavoured tea and aren’t sure where to start, may we suggest using the name of the tea as a possible guide to its taste or flavour combination, or simply choose a tea which includes ingredients you believe you may enjoy. Tasting notes are also available online for each of our teas or if you have the opportunity to visit one of our stores they could also help you further. Once you’ve experienced the delights of flavoured tea you’ll wonder why you hadn’t tried it earlier!
